Ubuntu Yatra is made possible thanks to the shared vision and support of likeminded organizations. Each partner brings unique expertise in areas like yoga, mindful travel, community development, Gandhian service, and sustainable practices. Together, we co-create an ecosystem of regeneration, compassion, and lasting impact.
1. GreenYogiAdventure
Website: greenyogiadventure.com
What they do:
GreenYogiAdventure blends Yoga with adventure travel in India, guiding participants off-the-beaten-path to discover authentic culture, nature, and spiritual practice. Founded by Alba and Joseba, this “inner growth lab” designs backpacking itineraries where you live simply, practice yoga in nature, and immerse yourself in local villages. Their programs include:
- Yoga‐themed backpacking trips in India (hidden routes, community stays, daily asana/meditation)
- Short “yoga & adventure” retreats (nature immersion, tribal connection, self‐exploration)
- Year‐round outdoor yoga classes and teacher training in Spain
By emphasizing “Green” (environmental respect), “Yogi” (living yoga off the mat), and “Adventure” (embracing uncertainty), GreenYogiAdventure nurtures personal transformation through mindful travel. (Green Yogui Adventure)

3. Manav Sadhna

What they do:
Based at Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad, Manav Sadhna (“Service to Humanity”) embodies Mahatma Gandhi’s call to “Love All, Serve All.” Since 1995, they have run six community centers within urban slums, offering holistic programs such as:
- Nonformal education and life‐skills classes for underprivileged children
- Vocational training for youth and women to improve employability
- Nutrition & healthcare camps, ensuring basic well‐being for families
- Women’s empowerment groups and senior care initiatives
- Sanitation & hygiene workshops, promoting grassroots public health
Today, Manav Sadhna serves over 11,000 daily beneficiaries through nearly 45 programs. Their community center model—deeply participatory and evolving with local needs—provides children a safe learning space in the mornings, vocational training in the afternoons, and communal gatherings in the evenings. 4. Environmental & Sanitation Institute – Sughad
Website: esigujarat.org
What they do:
Founded in 1985 under Gandhian principles, the Environmental & Sanitation Institute (ESI) in Sughad, Gujarat, focuses on training, research, and awareness to improve sanitation in rural and peri‐urban India. Their campus itself is a live demonstration of sustainable design:
- Natural passive cooling, rainwater harvesting, and bio‐gas generation
- Reed‐bed wastewater treatment and low‐cost toilet prototypes for water‐scarce regions
- Hands‐on workshops for village leaders, health inspectors, and Anganwadi teachers
- School‐based hygiene programs (e.g., the “Smile Ki Sawari” mobile van that teaches sanitation to children)
- Technical support for over 3888 village latrine projects and sanitation packages across 97 towns
By combining green architecture (designed by Yatin Pandya / Vastu‐Shilpa Foundation) with community education, ESI empowers local stakeholders to adopt low‐cost, ecologically balanced sanitation solutions. (esigujarat.org, esigujarat.org) Beyond that, ESI is a poweful platform for global changemakers, as it now expands its programs from sanitation to social change and all related issues that can help build generations of regenerative leaders.
